CEDRUS is a very efficient tool for the analysis and design of slabs and buildings. It is designed to be used for every day problems and doesn’t require Finite Element specialists. Several options are available for special purposes as shown below


Geotechnical Analyses

LARIX is a program for geotechnical analyses based on classic methods. Its graphical user interface and the clearly laid out results make it a very userfriendly application. Thanks to a complete documentation and many intermediate results it is possible to understand and reproduce all the performed calculations.


Frame structures

STATIK is a program for the linear-elastic analysis of general three dimensional frame structures according to the theories of first and second order and despite the variety of possibilities in static modelling and in the evaluation of results it is characterised by very straightforward and uniform operation. Together with its additional modules it is a comprehensive tool for the analyses of plane and spacial framework structures.


Reinforced Concrete Columns

PYRUS is a program for the nonlinear dimensioning and analysis of reinforced concrete columns. It allows the analysis of relatively simple columns (e.g. in buildings) as well as complex multi-column systems with variable cross sections, excentricities and intermediate bearings for uniaxial or biaxial bending. Nonlinear material laws as well as second order effects are considered.


Cross Sections
Definition and Analyses

FAGUS allows the definition of cross sections to be used in various Cubus programs. With its optionAnalyses it becomes a tool to solve a wide range of cross section tasks, mainly in the field of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. FAGUS also deals with thin walled cross sections and calculates their shear center and shear stress distribution due to shear forces and torsion. SIA, EC2, DIN, OeNorm are amongst the supported standards.



MURUS provides the verifications described in the code SIA266, chapter 4.3 concerning structural safety and chapter 4.4 concerning serviceability, both for unarmed masonry. That frees the user from the cumbersome selection of the correct diagram and from the time-consuming interpolation between curves.


Steel Members

AVENA is a program to analyze the structural safety of individual members made of steel according to the Swiss structural code SIA263 and the Eurocode EN 1993-1-1. It is intended as an aid to the manual calculation of the time-consuming structural resistance and stability verifications, whereby for a series of loadings either the most suitable steel profile is determined and/or the degree of utilization of the strength of the selected steel profiles is output.
